The Ansmann AES1 timer allows you to automatically cut off the mains supply from the charged batteries after a preset time. It allows you to very quickly, with the push of a button, set the charging time to 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1h, 2h, 4h and 8h. It works great in charging batteries for bicycles and electric mopeds, because we do not have to worry about disconnecting the charger, which we can disconnect the next time we use the vehicle. It is a solid product and we use it on a daily basis (we use several pieces).

Although we recommend buying the above switch, there is an even cheaper option of such a device, manufactured by another company: EcoSavers® Countdown Timer (as in the picture below). Unfortunately, it does not have an 8h setting, but 4h should be sufficient for bikes equipped with low capacity batteries, i.e. a maximum of 5-6Ah.
