A horseshoe fastener with a rope, such as the AXA Solid Plus, has one of the highest levels of anti-theft protection. At the same time, it is the most convenient way to lock the bike. However, someone will say: "it's all good, but it is not suitable for MTB bikes"
Well, it is also suitable for MTB and other bikes without special terminals, which we have tested for over two years on Tornado bikes. There are two ways to do this:
1) drill holes in the fork (two on each side) and simply screw it to the fork as shown in the photos; this is the fastest way, although someone may be afraid of the weakness of the aluminum and the upper part of the fork and that something may happen to it, but with us it has been doing our best for over two years. In the worst case, the upper part of the fork may break, which should not affect its functionality, as a last resort you can always replace the fork. From personal experience, we consider a "fork top break" very unlikely.
2) another Tornado uses a metal structure welded to the trunk, which is definitely a more engaging solution, but we don't have to worry about the fork.
3) there is also a third solution that has completely failed our tests - the AXA adapters; but perhaps someone will find other, not mentioned solutions - please share.
